There should be a word for ‘The Germans Have a Word for That.’  Schlimmbesserung or, if you must, Schlimmbeßerung, is literally ‘a worser bettering.’  Basically, as things improve, they really just turn to shit, as evidenced by our advanced technology that can’t add addresses to calendar events, something paper can do, but at least can track our every move and tell advertisers how much we like, well, to be tracked as it happens.  But that’s another rule.
