The Mute Button

There are a handful of films that are so beautiful visually, that they would work on their own without a soundtrack, or with one you would provide. I’m not talking about playing the first side of the Dark Side of the Moon LP here, but films like Speed Racer, Tron: Legacy, Nostalgia, Silence and Spring Breakers. With the possible exception of the second, these are films who work fine with the sound, but it’s an achievement worth noting, so I did.
