Characters are shown in detail getting into the car, opening the door of the car, driving to the house, parking in front of the house, getting out of the car, walking up to the door, and so on. The art-house equivalent of our age is considerably worse:  Characters are shown thinking about getting into the car, thinking about opening the door of the car, thinking about driving to the house…
