He Should Say Something Like
When you internalize the shoulder demon.

Refers also to ‘producer’s notes dialog’, which is to say you’re toddling along writing a movie and someone behind your shoulder says, ‘He should say something like, ‘You’re my father and I love you!’. Like a self-made typo, this ends up in the final product by virtue of it seeming to fit, you just read right over it. That’s me being generous. Some writers internalize this shoulder demon, which is an unfortunate bit of super-ego. Which means the super egos have become, that’s right, the super-ego. Freudian humor! I’m leaving that in, but I didn’t mean to.
