Why Must Be My Cautionary Tales Be Such Great Film Pitches?

The fear of every writer: that the offhand snide remark will be made into a film. Worse still, a successful film. Worse than that: a terrible successful film, and finally, worst of all, a terrible successful film where you don’t get the credit.

Films, especially bad one tend to throw off good ideas. If only the writing process did the same.

The one snarky remark (‘re-snark’ – don’t steal that by the way) I wish they had not taken seriously: ‘What if we made a film…where nothing happened?’
