The Betchel Test of my fucking patience

As much as I hate women (they are a subset of humans, and are therefore reprehensible), I would tend to agree that their exclusion from cinema is a bit bizarre and unfortunate. Nevertheless, the Betchel Test – whether or not two woman talk in a film about something that isn’t boys – irks me. First of all, it excludes a classic genre, the romcom, and is thereby, technically, denigrating a woman’s picture. That’s a no no. The real question is whether or not a female charter, mute or not, has a stake in the story. Usually, even if they’re talking about particle physics and denigration of woman’s pictures, the answer is no. Stake in the story? That’s so vague! Which is the appeal of the test: A ha, this film is anti-feminist. I can prove it with a test!

That’s so male.
