Missed Opportunity

This is potentially a long list, but there’s something about a good idea, even if it’s an utter failure, that is pleasurable in and of itself. This is possibly because you spend some time thinking of the alternative side-routes, legerdemain and character bits instead of watching the movie. There is a long list of films that I would love to remake, and this make sense. Don’t remake a movie that already works, fix one that’s broken. To wit: The Fifth Wave, Cloak and Dagger, Surrogates and They Live. Re: the last one, it’s not very good. The fact that you think it is shows you how great the idea is.
