2015 is the most forgettable year in...uh...
Every year has a character. Look, if people think there are going to be five good films a year, and one of them will be better than the other four, and that this cycle will repeat every year, I’m allowed this small conceit. This is a corollary to The Cabin Boy Rule (which determines the year’s character), but in the meantime, 2015 was marked by its unremarkableness. On the positive side, the independent horror films were very, very good. Yes, that includes The Lobster. You thought I was going to disqualify it because it didn’t come out in 2015.
