Die Hard

Die Hard

Come on.  Die Hard is the archetypal film of film.  Seeing it today is not-unequivalent to seeing 2001 and not being in denial, but it does retain some cool stuff.  There is much to recommend the way that the action follows action.  Furthermore, as more arises from the various commentaries and interviews, it seems an invented film, one improvised by a lucky everyone at the time.  When Mr. Alan Rickman meets Mr. Bruce Willis and does his fake accent, it's classic cinema, suggested by the late great Rickman himself.  Less so, the cheap set-up of him not wearing shoes.  'Make balls with your feet' my ass.  Still bothers me. Want to see the list of all Bruce Willis films ranked.  Of course you do.
